Orders & Payment
How do I place an order?
Add items to your basket, proceed to checkout, enter delivery and payment details, then confirm. You’ll receive an order confirmation by email.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as possible. If the order hasn’t been dispatched we can usually amend or cancel it. Once dispatched, standard returns apply.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encrypted payment gateways and never store full card details on our servers.
Why was my payment declined?
Check card details, billing address and funds. Contact your bank if the issue persists, or try another payment method.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept major debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), and Clearpay. Payment is processed securely at checkout.
Are there any hidden fees or taxes at checkout?
Prices include UK VAT where applicable. Any customs or import fees apply only to international orders (currently limited); UK customers will not incur extra charges beyond delivery.
Can I place a bulk or trade order?
Yes—contact our trade team with requirements and quantities. We offer bulk discounts for qualifying orders and can provide bespoke sourcing.
How do I change my billing or delivery address?
Update addresses at checkout before placing the order. For existing orders, contact us immediately—changes are possible before dispatch.
Delivery & Returns
Where do you deliver?
We deliver across the UK. For remote or restricted postcodes, delivery options and costs may vary—enter your postcode at checkout for precise pricing.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Standard orders typically arrive within 2–5 working days. Next‑day items arrive the following working day if ordered before the stated cut‑off. Delivery times depend on stock and courier schedules.
How will my bonsai be packaged?
Trees and fragile items are packaged with protective materials, secure pot padding and stabilisation to minimise movement. Accessories are boxed and cushioned.
What if my order arrives damaged or unhealthy?
Take photos immediately of the packaging and item, then contact customer services within 48 hours. We will arrange a replacement, refund or repair after assessment.
What delivery options do you offer?
Standard tracked delivery, next‑day delivery on many items, and timed or specialist courier services for large or fragile trees. Available options display at checkout.
Do you ship on weekends?
Most deliveries occur Monday–Friday. Some next‑day services may operate Saturday in specific areas—check product listing and checkout options.
Is delivery insured?
Yes. Most deliveries are insured up to the value shown in our terms. We recommend signing for valuable or large items.
What is your returns policy for plants and kits?
Live plants are perishable; we accept returns or replacements for items that arrive damaged, dead on arrival, or not as described—report within 48 hours. Non‑plant items follow our standard 14‑day returns policy (unused and in original condition).
Care & Aftercare
How do I water my bonsai?
Check surface compost daily in warm weather; water when the top layer dries. Water thoroughly until it drains from the pot holes. Avoid overwatering and standing water.
When should I feed my bonsai?
Feed with a balanced bonsai fertiliser during active growth (spring–summer). Reduce or stop feeding in autumn/winter for temperate outdoor species when they enter dormancy.
How do I prune and wire safely?
Prune regularly to maintain shape using clean, sharp tools. Wiring is specialist—wire with care and avoid cutting into bark; remove or adjust wiring before it begins to bite. Attend a workshop for hands‑on guidance.
How should I overwinter outdoor bonsai?
Provide winter protection: mulch, reduce watering, avoid late pruning and consider wind/sun shelter depending on species. Some hardy species remain outdoors with minimal protection.
How much light does my bonsai need?
Indoor bonsai prefer bright, filtered light. Use grow lights if natural light is insufficient. Outdoor species require full to partial sun depending on species—check the product page.
How often should I repot?
Repot every 2–5 years depending on vigour and root development. Use a free‑draining, specialist bonsai substrate, prune roots as required and refresh nutrients.
How do I prevent pests and diseases?
Inspect regularly for aphids, scale, mites and fungal issues. Maintain good airflow, remove infected foliage and treat early with recommended horticultural products.
Can I keep outdoor species indoors?
Most outdoor bonsai need seasonal variation to thrive. Only a few species tolerate prolonged indoor conditions—check species guidance before moving plants permanently indoors.
